Born: Sibley, Iowa, 1941

Gary K. Norby was born and raised in Sibley, Iowa. In 1964, he graduated from the University of Iowa with a major in mathematics. In 1967, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was Order of the Coif and a member of the Board of Editors of the Iowa Law Review.

Mr. Norby  practices primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial law, real estate, estate planning, probate, and employee benefits. He has served on the Business Law, Real Estate and Professional Corporation Committees of the Iowa State Bar Association and is a member of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. He has spoken at the Iowa Bar Association Tax School.

Mr. Norby is a member of the Dubuque County, Iowa State, and American Bar Associations, having served as past president of the Dubuque County Bar Association.

Mr. Norby has retired from the practice of law, effective June 2006.
